-Cocktail music should be mild tempo.

-Caterer and DJ’s bridal party entrance sheet should have the same information.

-DJ/MC should practice saying each individual’s name while double-checking on the lineup for a mistake free entrance.

-Bridal party entrance music should be mainly instrumental, which makes it easier to hear the names of everybody being introduced.

-Recommended order of entrance for bridal party:
1. Parents of the bride
2. Parents of the groom
3. Bridemaids and groomsman
4. Flower girl and Ring bearer
5. Maid/Matron of Honor and Best Man
6. Bride and Groom

-Be aware that many assumes that Ushers are the same as Groomsmen, but they are not. They have different roles. An Usher does not actually take part in the wedding party. Their job is to help seat the guests at the church, hand out programs, and possibly roll out the carpet. Ushers have been known to wear the same style of tux as Groomsmen although not necessary.

-For the Bride and Groom grand entrance, the bridal party may want to create a bridge for the Bride and Groom to walk under.

-First dance should follow the Bridal party entrance, then comes the toast by the Best man or Maid of honor. The toast may also take place after dinner if preferred.

-Blessings or prayers may take place somewhere after the first dance.

-It’s a great idea to do all other dances after dinner because it gives the audience something to look forward to in addition to the garter ceremony.

-If the Bride and Groom are comfortable with the idea of being lifted in the air on a chair (simultaneously), then definitely go for it. It’s fun for everybody, looks great on camera, and excellent for your picture collection.

-Some recommended audience participation dances that will really make a wedding exciting are: Cha cha slide, Dollar dance, Electric slide, Conga line, Cupid Shuffle, and the Apache.

-Last but not least, decide whether you want a basic or a grand finale to end the wedding. This may include a special song for you, your family and friends to dance to.
